leaf="">明代古刹永宁禅寺位于位于江南重镇—海盐县沈荡镇西市（责湖西路）大庙场内（今沈荡镇中心小学所在地）。明崇祯四年（1631年）建关帝殿，后十年（1641）年建永宁寺。因历史上寺院规模较大，故又被称为大庙。永宁寺系明代江南型斗拱式砖木结构建筑，寺院按传统庙宇建筑设计，第一进为天王殿，第二进寺院正中为大雄宝殿，两侧有偏殿（地藏殿、财神殿、北阴殿），另有客堂作对外接待、佛事登记处，以及几十余间标准客房供信众安心清静住宿，并有五观堂可接纳百余人享用丰盛净素斋饭，还有念佛堂供大众念佛绕佛修行，二楼为图书馆可为大众提供阅读学习的空间，基础建设完善，硬件设施齐全，是大众静心修行的一方人间净土。</span></span></p></section><section
