leaf="">在民间，七月也被称为“鬼月”。“盂兰”梵语，翻译为“解倒悬”，是极苦的意思。所谓“倒悬”是指三恶道中（地狱、饿鬼、畜生道）的痛苦，就像人被倒挂一样难受。“盆”是盛食物的容器，就是说：用这盆器盛着各种珍贵百味美食，恭敬奉献佛僧，承仗三宝不可思议福田之力以解救其“倒悬”之痛苦。所以，“盂兰盆会”也就是为解救先亡倒悬之苦，而盛设种种供养，奉施三宝之法会。</span></p><p
