阿弥陀佛历经五劫之思虑，发殊胜四十八大愿，成就西方极乐净土。据《佛说无量寿经》载，阿弥陀佛光明无量，照十方国土无所障碍：“无量寿佛威神光明最尊第一，诸佛光明所不能及。或有佛光照百佛世界、或千佛世界，取要言之，乃照东方恒沙佛刹，南、西、北方四维，上、下亦复如是。”可见阿弥陀佛无量光明不可思议，若有众生恭敬称念其名号，则功德宝聚，得福增慧。</span></p><p><span 念佛，本来有多种念法，而现在是专指称名念佛。七，是七日，在印度早就有小七、大七的二种：小七就是七天；大七是七七四十九天。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><p><span leaf=""> 结七念佛是一种加行，在这七天之内，摆脱一切的世俗杂务，与其他法门的修持，专心一意的念佛，这样才容易实现一心不乱。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><p><span leaf=""> 平时念佛，犹如小火烧水，因为火力太小，不容易煮滚一锅水。</span></p><p><span leaf=""><br/></span></p><p><span leaf=""> 定时念佛，犹如断断续续的烧开水，火力虽强，但为时短暂，时断时续，也不能煮滚。</span></p><p><span
