leaf="">无为寺始建于唐贞元九年（公元793年），开山祖师赞陀崛多为西天竺僧，于南诏时从天竺来到灵鹫山之麓，结茅修行于兰峰下阁老崖。阁老崖为观音菩萨因地修行之所。赞陀崛多初至南诏即被国王阁罗凤册封为国师。</span></span></p><p style="line-height: normal;text-indent: 2em;"><span style="color: rgb(125, 125, 125);font-size: 17px;"><span leaf="">贞元九年，寺院建成，观音菩萨踏空而至颂一偈：“有为无为，有岸无岸，身居龙渊，心达彼岸”，于是把寺命名为“无为寺”。</span></span></p><p style="line-height: normal;text-indent: 2em;"><span style="font-size: leaf="">到了大理国时期，无为寺门风更盛，成为大理国国王听经闻法、剃度出家修行和王室子弟习文练武的圣地，当时无为寺当仁不让的成为了大理国皇家第一寺院，根据《段氏宫史》记载，当时的大理国有二十二个帝王中，有十个帝王在无为寺出家，更有段氏宗室十五位皇族子弟出家无为寺，实为罕见。咱们熟知的《天龙八部》故事中段誉以名段和誉（段正严）历史上正是出家无为寺，无为寺当时僧众千余人，禅室千余间，足以见证当时寺院规模宏大。</span></span></span></p><p
