2em;"><strong>一由</strong>宿世志愿得名。《悲华经》记载，往昔恒河沙阿僧祇劫前，有佛出世，名宝藏如来。当时有一转轮圣王，名无诤念，与其千子各各请佛及僧住于皇宫，四事供养，为期三月。当时第一太子名不询，供养佛已，因观众生苦，而于佛前发愿，以一切善根功德回向无上菩提，并愿于修菩萨道时，所有苦恼众生能称其名，为其天耳所闻、天眼所见者，皆可离苦得乐。时宝藏如来，即为不珣太子授记：“善男子，汝观天人及三恶道一切众生生大悲心，欲断众生诸苦恼故，欲断众生诸烦恼故，欲令众生住安乐故，善男子，今当字汝为观世音。”</p><p style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;outline: 0px;text-align: justify;margin-left: 16px;margin-right: 16px;text-indent: 2em;"><strong>二由</strong>因中修行得名。《楞严经》中，观世音菩萨对释迦佛说，自己久远劫前曾供养一位观世音如来，并发菩提心，修菩萨行，观世音如来授其闻熏闻修金刚三昧。因而从闻思修，入三摩地，悟证圆通，获二殊胜：一者上合十方诸佛本妙觉心，与佛如来同一慈力，能以三十二应身入诸国土，度脱众生。二者下合十方一切六道众生，与诸众生同一悲仰，能以十四无畏、四不思议施于众生，令闻名见形、称念圣号之人，皆可离苦得乐。因此，观世音如来于大会中授记菩萨，号观世音。</p><p style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;outline: 0px;text-align: justify;text-indent: 2em;margin-left: 16px;margin-right: 16px;"><strong>三由</strong>果上利他得名。《楞严经》观音菩萨自说：“我得佛心，证于究竟。”此后无量劫来，菩萨都在以大悲心，平等拔苦与乐。故《法华经》中无尽意菩萨问佛：“观世音菩萨以阿因缘名观世音？”佛告无尽意菩萨：“善男子，若有无量百千万亿众生，受诸苦恼，闻是观世音菩萨，一心称名，观世音菩萨即时观其音声，皆得解脱。”又云：“假使黑风吹其船舫，漂堕罗刹鬼国，其中若有乃至一人，称观世音菩萨名者，是诸人等皆得解脱罗刹之难，以是因缘名观世音。”</p><p style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;outline: 0px;text-align: justify;text-indent: 2em;margin-left: 16px;margin-right: 16px;">由于菩萨发大悲心，修大悲行，证得佛心的无限慈悲。能令凡称其名号的苦恼众生，得免三灾、脱四难、除三毒、应二求，甚至以三十二应身及十四无畏、四不思议，福备众生，因名观世音。</p><p style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;outline: 0px;text-align: justify;text-indent: 2em;margin-left: 16px;margin-right: 16px;">观世音菩萨亦名观自在菩萨，或有人说：旧译名观世音，新译名观自在，征之佛经，并不尽然。其实，观世音即是观自在，观自在亦即是观世音，而《大悲心陀罗尼经》，释尊则名之为观世音自在，足可见观世音与观自在是同一尊菩萨。</p></section></section></section><p data-mid=""><br 2px;">据《大悲心陀罗尼经》载，观世音菩萨早在无量劫前久已成佛，号正法明如来，但以无尽悲心愍念众生，所以在无量国土中，以菩萨之身到处寻声救苦。观世音菩萨是西方三圣之一，也是一生补处的法身大士，辅助阿弥陀佛专门接引专修净土法门的人命终之后往生西方极乐世界，无量大劫之后，极乐世界的阿弥陀佛入于涅槃，观世音菩萨绍继佛位，号“一切光明功德山王如来。”</span></p><p
