      三時繫念法事乃元朝中峰國師所提倡，目的在超薦亡靈往生西方極樂世界，永離茫茫業海。然此儀軌所蘊含的精神，更令生者受用，生者若以至誠心讀誦聽講，並發願奉行，必能托質蓮胎，圓滿無上菩提。「中峰」是元朝明本禪師的別號。「三時」古時把一晝夜分為晝三時、夜三時，由此引申為「晝夜不懈」之意。「繫念」是念念不捨，就是要把「阿彌陀佛」放在心上，真正的功夫是心上真正有阿彌陀佛，此謂繫念。
